Someone once said 'tread softly and carry a big stick' - this was a misheard version of Teddy Roosevelt's 'Speak softly and carry a big stick' which originally came from a West African proverb. I have sort of word mangled it into 'Speak softly and carry a big stick - but bring a BIG dog for protection!'

London again, this time the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament, the one that many people call Big Ben, which is actually the name of the big bell inside it.
